Will my Sidecaster say something that gets me banned?+
You write their rules in plain English — topics to avoid, lines they shouldn’t say — and those rules are part of every response. Stronger post-output keyword filters are on the roadmap.
Does it post in my chat?+
Never. Your Sidecaster only speaks out loud through your stream audio via TTS, like a co-host on a mic. Your chat stays yours.
Can it see my game?+
No. It reads your stream chat, listens to your mic after your wake word, and reacts to Twitch events. No screen reading, no gameplay narration.
How does the wake word work?+
Whisper runs local on your PC and listens for the word you set (“hey Cooper,” “coop,” anything you want). Nothing leaves your machine until your Sidecaster actually responds.
Can I make it sound like me?+
Voice cloning is on the roadmap — today you pick from the built-in OpenAI TTS voices (alloy, echo, fable, onyx, nova, shimmer, ash, coral, sage, verse, ballad), plus a voice-style prompt to shape tone.
Does it work with VTube Studio / Live2D?+
Today it’s 2D sprite avatars (idle, talking, thinking, surprised, laughing) with automatic lip sync. Live2D + VRM support is on the roadmap.
What if I run out of credits mid-stream?+
Buy a top-up credit pack from your billing dashboard and your Sidecaster keeps going. If you run out mid-stream it pauses gracefully — no broken stream. Auto top-up is on the roadmap.
What platforms?+
Windows today. Mac is on the roadmap. Cloud-hosted option coming so you don’t need to run anything locally at all.
