This Privacy Policy explains how PEEK, LLC(“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and retains information when you use Sidecaster (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy and to our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: your email address and, if you sign in with Twitch, your Twitch account identifier and display name.
- Billing data: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we keep a Stripe customer reference, subscription status, and a record of purchases.
- Your content: the prompts you send, the sidecaster configurations you create (names, personas, rules, voice settings), and the text, audio, and images produced in response.
- Usage data: per-request logs of which features you used, the model invoked, token/character counts, timing, and the credits consumed.
- Technical data: your IP address, used for security and rate limiting, and basic device/browser information.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and secure the Service.
- To process payments and manage your subscription and credits.
- To meter usage, calculate credit costs, and prevent abuse and fraud.
- To respond to support requests and send service-related emails.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train our own models.
3. AI model providers and other subprocessors
To deliver the Service we share data with the service providers (“subprocessors”) below. In particular, your prompts, sidecaster configurations, and related content are sent to third-party AI model providers, which process them under their own policies to generate Output.
- OpenAI— large-language-model and image-generation processing.
- Google (Gemini)— large-language-model and image-generation processing.
- Inworld— text-to-speech (voice) processing.
- Stripe— payment processing and billing.
- Neon— managed PostgreSQL database hosting.
- Google Cloud Platform— application hosting and logging.
- Cloudflare— content delivery, file storage (R2), and bot/abuse protection (Turnstile) on public forms such as our abuse-report form. When you complete a Turnstile challenge, Cloudflare receives your IP address and interaction signals to distinguish humans from automated abuse.
Each provider maintains its own privacy and, where applicable, training-data disclosures; we will keep links to those disclosures current on this page. We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
4. AI training-data transparency (California AB 2013)
Sidecaster is a deployer of third-party generative-AI systems, not the developer of those systems. Information about the data used to train the underlying models is published by the respective developers (OpenAI, Google, Inworld) on their own websites; you can review their training-data disclosures there. Where California AB 2013 (effective January 1, 2026) applies, we will keep direct links to those summaries current in the subprocessor list above.
5. Data retention
We retain per-request usage logs for a limited period — by default 90 days — after which detailed logs are deleted and only aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics are kept. Account and billing records are retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations, then deleted or anonymized.
Your sidecaster configurations (names, personas, rules, voice settings) and any images saved to a sidecaster are retained while your account is active. When you delete a sidecaster, or delete your account, the associated configuration and saved images are removed.
6. Children
The Service is intended only for adults 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 18). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. These include rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA) and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Where the GDPR applies, we process your personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), to comply with our legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in securing, operating, and improving the Service.
To make a request, email privacy@peekgames.dev. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make a material change — for example, to the categories of data we collect, how we use it, or our subprocessor list — we will update the version stamp shown on this page and may ask you to re-acknowledge the updated Policy.
